GIMP borders fail. It always makes the top layer lighter and the bottom darker. I forgot about that in my last sig and seems you used it here. This is nice... but there is very little reflective lighting on the render itself so it is kinda fail. The text is floating, it would look better closer to the render and lower.

All in all pretty nice for how new you are but, without the left side this would be just ok. One more thing, you should try bigger sizes for your stuff... gives you a lot more room to work, be creative, do what you want etc

I forgot about that little smudged area on my render and should of placed my text there lol.

Yea, i tried some techniques from what you did on your last sig lol. If i want to become better, gotta watch others.

on my next sig, ill make a bigger canvas if i remember lol.
